Missing a Tooth? Let’s Talk About Dental Implants

So, you’re missing a tooth. Maybe you’ve been meaning to do something about it for a while, but you weren’t sure what your options were. Maybe the idea of dental implants is enough to keep putting it off. We understand.

A dental implant replaces more than just the part of the tooth you see. It replaces the root, too, giving your new tooth a stable foundation and helping it feel like a natural part of your smile.

Dental implants are one of the most natural-looking and functional ways to replace missing teeth. They can help you chew more comfortably, restore the appearance of your smile, and prevent the bone loss that can happen after a tooth is gone.

And if the idea of getting an implant makes you nervous? That’s okay. At Advance Dentistry, comfort is part of the plan.

The First Step Is Figuring Out What’s Right for You

Before anything happens, we’ll take a close look at your mouth and your overall dental health to make sure implants are a good fit.

This isn’t a case of taking a quick X-ray and hoping for the best. We use three-dimensional CT scans to get a detailed look at the bone available for an implant. That gives your doctor a much clearer picture of what’s happening beneath the surface and helps take the guesswork out of planning your treatment.

Then, you’ll sit down with your doctor and talk through your options, because there isn’t one implant plan that works for everybody.

What If You’re Nervous About the Procedure?

If you’re already imagining yourself lying in a dental chair listening to every sound and wondering when it’s going to be over, take a breath. It doesn’t have to be like that.

Advance Dentistry has more than 55 years of combined experience with sedation dentistry, and it is available during implant procedures to help you stay comfortable throughout your care. In other words, you’re not walking into an office that occasionally does implants. This is something the team has been doing for a very long time.

For many patients, that changes the entire experience. Instead of spending the appointment worrying about what’s happening, you can settle in and let the team take care of you.

One Team. One Place. A Lot Less Running Around.

One of the frustrating parts of complicated dental treatment can be bouncing between offices, doctors, and appointments.

At Advance Dentistry, we do things differently. Your implant treatment can be handled in one location by one team, creating a more cohesive experience from your initial evaluation through the final restoration. You have one dental home: us.

How Long Does the Process Take?

Implants aren’t an overnight fix, and we’re upfront about that. After the implant is placed, your jaw needs time to heal around it.

Once that healing is complete, your new crown, bridge, or denture can be created and attached. The entire process can take a few months depending on your individual situation.

The goal is something designed to last, that gives you back the comfort and confidence of having a complete smile.
